Teamwork Divides the Tasks and Multiplies the Success.

We’re proud of the team we’ve built at The Johnson Firm. One of our core values is open communication, and we’re dedicated to living this out within our office and equally, from our office to our clients. We invite you to learn more about each of us below.

Jonathan Johnson

Jonathan received Bachelor of Science degrees in both accounting and civil law, and ultimately, a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University. He joined The Johnson Firm in 2006 and manages both Domestic and Personal Injury cases.

Jonathan is known for his keen attention to detail and analytical perspective, balanced with a compassionate and relatable nature. He has argued cases all the way up to the Louisiana Supreme Court and is responsible for precedent law.  After just five years in practice, he was recognized in 2011 as the “Most Outstanding Young Lawyer in Louisiana” – one award, distributed annually amongst the 19,000 attorneys throughout the state, by the Louisiana Bar Association. He was also voted Super Lawyers Magazine’s Rising Star both in 2012 and 2013 and recognized by Acadiana Profile Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Southwest Louisiana in both 2016 and 2017.

Jonathan enjoys working out, playing basketball, spending time with family, and playing the guitar. He is married to Hannah (Stelly) Johnson, and together, they have two daughters, Faith and Lyn. They are members of Trinity Baptist Church, although Jonathan is currently serving as the worship leader for First Baptist Church of Hackberry. Jonathan is also highly involved in the FaithWalk ministry.

Adam Johnson

Adam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Louisiana State University and ultimately, a Juris Doctorate from Southern University. He specializes in Criminal Defense and is driven by a passion for the courtroom and representing the interests of those who are in need of restitution, recovery, or exoneration.

Adam has garnered a reputation as an intensely prepared, zealous advocate who places the interests of his clients first. He represents those charged with very serious offenses as well as those charged with petty ones and invests the same level of work ethic into every case and the client behind it. He has achieved two overturned convictions on behalf of clients seeking appeals, revealing exculpatory evidence suppressed by the State that ultimately proved innocence on behalf of those charged. He considers it his life’s purpose to ensure those who are wrongly convicted, underrepresented, or overcharged experience the just defense they rightly deserve.

Adam is married to Ashley (Leonards), and together, they have two sons, Jack and James. They are active members of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoy cooking, lounging lakeside, and spending time with family.

Terry J. Johnson

Terry was born and raised in Lake Charles. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from McNeese State University and earned a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University. With more than 40 years of experience, he’s practiced in the areas of: Personal Injury, Criminal Law, Business Law, Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, Community Property, and Successions.

Terry began The Johnson Firm in 1980, following his service as an Assistant District Attorney for both Allen and Calcasieu Parishes. It was a dream realized when he welcomed his sons, Jonathan and Adam, into the firm. While each is different in his personality and approach, Terry believes their differences strengthen and sharpen each other, and he enjoys (most of the time) when he’s challenged and questioned by his younger counterparts. He also has a passion for teaching and coaching his sons as they grow the business and build upon the reputable foundation he’s established.

Terry is married to Pamela P. Johnson, and together, they have four children: Anna-Catherine Rose, Jonathan Johnson, Adam Johnson, and Sarabeth Price.

He enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his six grandchildren. He and Pam attend Trinity Baptist Church.
