Jonathan received Bachelor of Science degrees in both accounting and civil law, and ultimately, a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University. He joined The Johnson Firm in 2006 and manages both Domestic and Personal Injury cases.
Jonathan is known for his keen attention to detail and analytical perspective, balanced with a compassionate and relatable nature. He has argued cases all the way up to the Louisiana Supreme Court and is responsible for precedent law. After just five years in practice, he was recognized in 2011 as the “Most Outstanding Young Lawyer in Louisiana” – one award, distributed annually amongst the 19,000 attorneys throughout the state, by the Louisiana Bar Association. He was also voted Super Lawyers Magazine’s Rising Star both in 2012 and 2013 and recognized by Acadiana Profile Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Southwest Louisiana in both 2016 and 2017.
Jonathan enjoys working out, playing sports, spending time with family, and playing the guitar. He is married to Hannah (Stelly) Johnson, and together, they have two daughters, Faith and Lyn. They are members of Church of the King in Lake Charles. Jonathan is extremely involved professionally and civically. He is a Commissioner of the Lake Charles Harbor & Terminal District, a board member of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, and a member of the SWLA Bar Association Executive Counsel where he currently serves as secretary.
