Terry was born and raised in Lake Charles. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from McNeese State University and earned a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University. With more than 40 years of experience, he’s practiced in the areas of: Personal Injury, Criminal Law, Business Law, Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, Community Property, and Successions.
Terry began The Johnson Firm in 1980, following his service as an Assistant District Attorney for both Allen and Calcasieu Parishes. It was a dream realized when he welcomed his sons, Jonathan and Adam, into the firm. While each is different in his personality and approach, Terry believes their differences strengthen and sharpen each other, and he enjoys (most of the time) when he’s challenged and questioned by his younger counterparts. He also has a passion for teaching and coaching his sons as they grow the business and build upon the reputable foundation he’s established.
Terry is married to Pamela P. Johnson, and together, they have four children: Anna-Catherine Rose, Jonathan Johnson, Adam Johnson, and Sarabeth Price.
He enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his 12 grandchildren. He and Pam attend Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Charles as well as Little Flock Baptist Church in Many, Louisiana when they enjoy time at their lake house.
